Most our family that knew Mom, felt confident she would pass on April 15th as she began to fail. Mom did income taxes for 68 years and it is only fitting she would feel her work was done on that day!
Last night I felt compelled to stay with her all night and I am glad I did. We sat next to each other on the recliner. She slept and kept breathing. I sang her every hymn I knew, prayed with her and held her hand all night. I dozed and woke every 45 minutes or so and she was still breathing.
This morning after her caretaker gave her a bath and put clean PJs on her she passed away at 9:45 am. She was a great mom and friend. I learned tons of things from her. I will write more about her later.
For now, I love my mom and I know she loved me! I know she knew the Lord and was ready to meet Him. I will see you on the other side later Ma! Enjoy the party and save me a spot. It won’t be long.
Blessings,
Scott
